Part of the ARA Ireland Diversity and Inclusion Lecture Series collection

Lynsey Gillespie will give an overview of the five programmes delivered as part of this project and a look at some of the end results.

In 2022 The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) delivered CollabArchive, a community engagement project in partnership with the Nerve Centre and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project aimed to bring diverse communities from across Northern Ireland to PRONI to find out what collections were already held there, create new records for PRONI and have opportunities to volunteer and enhance access to PRONIs collections. This talk will give an overview of the five programmes delivered as part of this project and a look at some of the end results.

Lynsey Gillespie has worked at PRONI for more than 13 years across a number of departments. Lynsey currently leads the outreach and engagement team at PRONI. Lynsey holds a BA (Hons) in English and Modern History from Queen’s University Belfast and an MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies from Ulster University.
